APT Committee

The APT Committee considers all cases of appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure of ESIA budgeted and non-budgeted faculty. It also reviews and votes on all full-time faculty searches, including those for tenure-track faculty positions. For detailed information on the role of the APT, please consult the Elliott School Bylaws. 

Dean's Council

The Dean’s Council is an elected advisory body that represents Elliott School faculty in discussions with the Dean about the strategic direction of the School and acts as a policy review body.  The Council also approves changes in Elliott School academic programs and can act on behalf of the faculty between normally scheduled faculty meetings.

Elliott School Representatives to the GW Faculty Senate

The GW Faculty Senate is the faculty governance body of the George Washington University. Senators are elected to two-year terms by their home schools, and the Senate annually elects an Executive Committee that sets agendas, reviews proposed resolutions, and guides the work of the Senate. The Senate is normally in session from September through May, although the Executive Committee works year-round on faculty and administrative matters.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council Faculty Representatives

The Elliott School's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council is charged with advising the school's leadership on specific activities and initiatives to implement related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Office of the Provost Diversity Program Review Team, Faculty Advisory Council

The GW Diversity Program Review Team (DPRT) was appointed by the Provost and is tasked with conducting a campus diversity, equity, and inclusion program review and producing a final report rooted in data and scholarship.
