Whether you're just starting to consider a graduate degree in the field of International Affairs or have already decided to make an investment to help you advance in the field, the next step is to connect with the Graduate Admissions Team! We invite you to attend an info session, grad fair, or connect with our students and alumni. We know that life gets busy and flexibility is essential, so we have options to connect both in-person and virtually. We update this page with additional events and online sessions as information is available, so check back frequently for the most updated information. We look forward to meeting you!

Information Sessions

Information sessions are led by an admissions counselor and give you the opportunity to ask questions about the application process and the Elliott School. There is a mix of in-person and virtual information session opportunities. Please check the registration calendar for upcoming dates and note whether the session you choose is in-person or virtual. Applicants who attend an information session will qualify for an application fee waiver. Once granted, this application fee waiver can only be applied once and for one new* application.
*Please note that the application fee is non-refundable after submission and fee waivers cannot be used retroactively. If you plan to use a fee waiver obtained through an information session, please attend the information session before submitting your application.

Campus Tours

If you live in or are travelling to Washington, D.C. - join us on campus! A general campus tour will give you the chance to see the entire GW campus but will not include Elliott School program-specific information.

We offer Elliott School Building Tours prior to our in-person information sessions, and may accommodate other times based on staff availability. Please email esiagradgwu [dot] edu (esiagrad[at]gwu[dot]edu) for more information.

Group Information Session

Are you interested in bringing a group to visit the Elliott School? Or are you looking for a personalized virtual info session for your group? Complete this form to request a Group Info Session for groups from college grad-preparatory programs, community organizations, employers, etc.

Please note that it is difficult for us to accommodate groups below the 11th-grade level. Due to high visitor volume and staffing limitations, we are unfortunately not able to grant every request we receive. All requests must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.
