Born in the UAE, Javeria Ali was inspired by U.S. democracy to earn a B.S. in Political Science and later study abroad in Morocco, where she examined Chinese investment in Africa. She’s now pursuing an M.A. in International Affairs, focusing on International Economic Policy. Formerly a writing editor for K–12 students, she also served as a DEI Ambassador and interned with Senator Jon Ossoff’s 2020 campaign. Javeria’s community work includes supporting J-1 students through the WISE Foundation and guiding refugees at the International Rescue Committee. In her free time, she enjoys visiting the library with her children, running with her dog, and exploring Washington, D.C.’s museums.
