Concentrations General Info (Pre-Fall 2024)
Students admitted to GW before the Fall 2024 semester should follow these requirements. All students in the BA in international affairs program must complete either a functional or regional concentration (15 credits).
While students who started at GW before Fall 2024 will be meeting the pre-Fall 2024 requirements for their concentration, students can search the most current Bulletin for additional approved courses as well as search for approved courses via course attributes in the schedule of classes or GWEB.
Students must declare a concentration no later than the end of the second semester of their sophomore year by completing the declaration form. Except for WID courses, courses may not be double counted between any international affairs requirements. A minimum grade of C- must be earned in all concentration courses.
