The Individualized Concentration allows highly self-directed students to create a customized concentration that aligns with their interests in international affairs. This concentration must have a clear theme or address a compelling question, with selected courses linked by a coherent rationale. It is intended for students whose interests cannot be fulfilled by existing concentrations, and is not suitable for those still defining their goals.  
 

Learning Objectives

Students gain the ability to:

• Discuss the principles, concepts, and ethical issues that relate to their chosen theme or question. 
• Propose innovative responses to the chosen theme or question. 
• Connect their learning to broader concepts and approaches in international affairs.
