Elliott School Undergraduate Scholars Program

Students apply to participate in the Elliott School Undergraduate Scholars Program in the spring of their sophomore or junior year. The program includes:

  • One-credit graded Research Methods course in the fall
  • Three-credit graded Writing in the Disciplines (WID) course in the spring
  • Close work with a faculty advisor and the Program Director
  • Research stipend of $100; possibility of applying for up to $1500 additional funding
  • Peer support throughout the research and writing process
  • Presentation of research at an on-campus academic conference during spring semester
  • Support in submitting research papers to peer reviewed academic journals
  • Support in applying for grants and fellowships
  • Support in applying to graduate programs and professional opportunities

Eligibility

The 2019-2020 Elliott School Undergraduate Scholars program is open to Elliott School undergraduates with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 who will graduate in the following terms: Spring 2020, Summer 2020, Fall 2020, or Spring 2021.
