Join us for a site visit February 19th from 2-3PM to the Embassy of Italy in Washington! You'll gain unique insights into Italian culture, internships and career opportunities in diplomacy, and international education initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with embassy officials, ask questions, and learn about Italy's role on the global stage. Space is limited to 24 students.TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:1:45 Arrive for security processing2:00 Introduction of the Embassy, building tour and activities of different offices2:15 Meet with a diplomat and hear about:
aspects of a diplomatic career
the perspectives about political, economic and cultural issues of the transatlantic relationship between Italy and the US.
2:55 Photo opportunity with the Embassy staff 3:00 Depart for campus. LOGISTICSParticipants are welcome to meet Elliott staff at the Graduate Student Lounge on the 6th Floor, in front of the GSS office, by 12:50 p.m. as we plan to head out no later than 1:00 p.m.
Walk 6 min to Bus stop at Virginia Av NW & E St NW
1:13PM Take the D74 bus (to Rhode Island)
1:23PM Exit at Massachusetts Av NW & Florida
1: 29PM Transfer to D90 Bus (to Tenleytown)
1:32PM Exit at Massachusetts Av NW & 30 St NW
Walk 4 minute to arrive at Embassy by approximately 1:36PM.
