The Office of Graduate Admissions is available to answer your questions about the Elliott School. We invite you to visit us in Foggy Bottom to attend an information session, or campus tour.  Please note, we update this page with additional events and online sessions once information is available.  Please check back frequently for the most up-to-date information.

Information Sessions

The Elliott School Office of Graduate Admissions offers in-person information sessions in our office on most Mondays and Fridays at 11:00am and on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm. These small group meetings, led by an admissions counselor, give you the opportunity to ask questions about the application process and the Elliott School.

We also offer online info sessions that are scheduled with various start times and occur on the third Wednesday of every month. In the case that you are unable to meet with us at these times, we may be able to arrange for another meeting time.

Campus Tours

To learn more about graduate study at the George Washington University, we invite you to take a tour of our main campus. You can tour our Foggy Bottom Campus on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 12:30 p.m (except holidays). Led by a current graduate student, tours last approximately one hour and begin at the Admissions Welcome Center in the Marvin Center.

Register for a campus tour by visiting the event search page and selecting "Campus Tours" as the event category. For large group tours with more than 15 people, please call 202-994-5984 for special arrangements.

Visit a Class

If you are interested in observing an Elliott School graduate class, please fill out this short form and press submit. You will then be brought to a page where you can view our Spring 2018 Class Visit options.

Please be sure to email the faculty member of the course you wish to observe at least two weeks prior to confirm the location and gain final permission. Visits will not be available the first week of school, January 15, 2018.

Group Visit

Thanks for your interest in the Elliott School of International Affairs! Your visit experience will be based on the amount of time you have to spend on campus with us, as well as our capacity to accommodate your group. Through an Information Session with an admission representative, we hope that we can introduce you to life at the Elliott School!

This form is intended to be used by groups larger than 8-10, visiting from college grad-preparatory programs, community organizations, employers, etc. Please note that it is difficult for us to accommodate groups below the 11th grade level or groups larger than 50. Due to high visitor volume and staffing limitations, we are unfortunately not able to grant every request we receive. All requests must be made at least two weeks in advance.

Online Office Hours

We offer online office hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. & 1-5 p.m. These office hours allow prospective students an opportunity to chat with an admissions staff member and have questions answered quickly. In Gmail, add our email address, [email protected], in the chat box.
