EWB Series: Effectively Engaging with Employers via Emails & DMs

In the session, we will provide you with opportunities to fine-tune your job application documents and research papers.  You will be able to receive quick reviews from the coaches and writing experts.  Here is the game plan. First, we will briefly open the session, introduce you to the team of professionals, and share the unique event structure. You will see an expert at different stations around the room. You will be able to get a speed review of 10 minutes or less of your research paper or professional Job Application documents.  You will be able to move to multiple stations throughout the hour. Finally, we will conclude after 50 minutes with a group Q&A for those who have time expired on them. Additionally, the Q&A will support those who have deeper questions or takeaways to share experts beyond their 10-minute blocks. Please bring all your questions, application documents, and papers to the Elliott team of coaches and writing experts!

The Elliott Writer’s Block is a new school-wide program led by a team of seasoned Facilitators, including Kisha Manning Bilal, Cole Gaudin, and Joshua Lissauer. These Career Coaches each bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program. The monthly program is designed to impact and inform undergraduate and graduate students on perfecting and customizing their professional documents, such as resumes, CVs, cover letters, essays, statements of interest, or writing samples. The Elliott Writer’s Block aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to create powerful documents for all your job applications. It offers thematic workshops and includes Interactive group activities in its 60-minute session.  You will walk away understanding the critical techniques for crafting outstanding documents for all your job applications.
