Join Dr. Jo Spear, Interim Director of Security Policy Studies, Meg Wurm, Graduate Student Services, Assistant Director, and current student Changhee Yoo, who will walk you through how to manage your time and establish an optimal schedule for your writing assignments, such as term papers and thesis. You will learn strategies to overcome writer's block and writer's fatigue, enabling you to fine-tune your approach to having a successful Spring Semester.The opening Writer’s Block Session will focus on:
Identifying what distractions are getting in the way.
Organizing your writing and research schedule.
Overcoming "writer's block" and “writer's fatigue.”
An overview of all the resources for writing and research support at GW.
Techniques for managing your work-life balance, to help you navigate career and student life.
Please bring all your questions and concerns about time management, writer's block, and writer's fatigue to the session. What is The Elliott Writer’s Block Series?The Elliott Writer’s Block aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to create powerful documents for all your job applications. It offers thematic workshops and includes Interactive group activities in its 60-minute session. You will walk away understanding the critical techniques for crafting outstanding documents for all your job applications. Your Graduate Student Services Team of Coaches and Academic Advisors leads the Event Series. They bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to help students with time management and the customization of their professional documents, such as resumes, CVs, cover letters, essays, statements of interest, or writing samples.
