Elliott Writer's Block: Crafting Compelling CVs for Employers Around the World

A Curriculum Vitae, or CV, is a professional document used by applicants worldwide. In the second Spring ‘26 event of Writer’s Block, we will explore how to compose your CV for use in the Western Hemisphere and the various elements that must be included for applications globally in other regions. In the interactive session, you will learn about the following:
Different CV layouts and styles, each suited to a specific type of job or higher education pursuit. 
We will discuss how to turn your English version into a local version for use in your home country, should specific language fluency be required in the Job Descriptions. 
Also, we will identify the parts of the header that are inappropriate in the Western Hemisphere, but why they need to be present in the headers of CVs when used in other global regions. 
Through an evocative discussion and presentation, you will walk away with a more effortless mastery to help you overcome the challenges of knowing when to use a particular CV style. Most importantly, you will discover how to author your CV to convey a lasting impression to employers or institutions worldwide.  What is The Elliott Writer’s Block Series?The Elliott Writer’s Block aims to equip you with the skills and knowledge to create powerful documents for all your job applications. It offers thematic workshops and includes Interactive group activities in its 60-minute session.  You will walk away understanding the critical techniques for crafting outstanding documents for all your job applications.
