Dr. Edwards is a Professorial Lecturer at the Elliott School, and is serving as Director of the Research and Advocacy Program at the International Secretariat of Amnesty International. He has written and consulted extensively on complex humanitarian crises and armed conflict, innovations in human rights compliance monitoring, and the human rights implications of emerging technologies. His current professional activity centers on the nature and impact of mis/disinformation in political settings and conflict processes. He completed his doctoral work in Political Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and his dissertation work advanced complexity modeling for prediction of forced displacement.
