Hogai Aryoubi is a researcher in peace and education. Her work focuses on education in conflict-affected settings; locally-led peace-building; nonviolent movements; and Indigenous methodologies. She is the director of Zazai Peace Charity and is appointed as a board member of the City of Fairfax Commission for Women.

Hogai is a graduate from the University of Cambridge (PhD); Johns Hopkins University (MS); and the City University of New York Baccalaureate for Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies (BA). Her postdoctoral research was at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict (GMU), where she focused on locally-led peace strategies in conflict-affected DRC. She was also a Fulbright in Turkey; Public Policy Fellow at Leadership for Educational Equity in DC; Teach for America DC corps member; and JumpStart AmeriCorps corps member in New York City.
