USAJobs Series: Cover Letter/Additional Documents
When you apply for various Federal Jobs, sometimes you are requested to upload some unique documents. For instance, you may say to yourself, "oh my, they need a Cover Letter. I don't have one of those." Or, "what do they mean when they ask for a Statement of Interest? Is that a Cover Letter?" You may also be asked to share a writing sample or multiple writing samples. You could say, "how do I know what they need? Do I need to write something to them from scratch?" In this informative workshop, we will examine all these additional documents, share some strategies for adding them to your portfolio and ease the stress of having these requests creep up on you at the last minute. The event will feature a long Q&A Session at the end of the presentation. Please bring your documents (Cover Letter, Statement of Interest, and Writing Sample) and all your questions. All Elliott School academic programs are welcome to register. You must RSVP in Handshake and Zoom to participate.
