Graduate Student Services (GSS)'s Career Development team offers information sessions and career networking panels throughout the academic year that represent many sectors and industries within international affairs. In addition, career coaches are available to conduct mock (practice) interviews with students to prepare them for diverse opportunities.

Finding and preparing for an internship abroad Careers in the Federal Government, international development, private sector and more Information on various employers and organizations

 


Site Visit Program

This informational program helps acquaint Elliott School graduate students with organizations in their areas of interest. The site visits provide students with an insider's view on career possibilities, qualifications required, employment, and internship opportunities that may be available. However, these sessions are for informational purposes only and are not job interviews

As employers report the necessity for strong interview skills, we encourage all job seekers to practice their skills individually, with company representatives and/or with a career coach. Telephone interviews are available for practice.

  • Federal Government job search/navigating USAJobs
  • Networking strategies
  • Professional etiquette
  • Salary negotiation
