Michael K. Miller is an Associate Professor of Political Science and International Affairs at George Washington University. His research interests combine comparative politics, formal and quantitative methodology, and political economy, with a focus on democratization and autocratic elections. In particular, he is interested in how coups and competitive elections relate to democratization and the role that autocratic elections play in policy choice. His work has appeared in American Journal of Political Science, British Journal of Political Science, Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Conflict Resolution, and elsewhere.

Professor Miller received his Ph.D. in Politics from Princeton University in September 2011. He was previously a faculty member at Australian National University (2011-13).
