Mia Cleary

Mia (she/her) is the Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Graduate Student Services in the Elliott School of International Affairs.

While working at the Elliott School, Mia is also pursuing a Master's of International Education at GWU. Before moving to DC, Mia was an English teacher in South Korea and a kindergarten teacher in South Florida. She is a proud graduate of Florida International University, where she received a BA in international relations and political science.

Mia is originally from a large and diverse family in Jacksonville, where she is one of five children, two of whom are adopted. She is passionate about disability education in the international sphere. Mia has lived in Sweden, Spain, and South Korea, and would love to add to that list!

Outside of work, you can find her practicing Spanish, eating at fun restaurants, or walking her lab, Penny. She is excited to serve such amazing students at Elliott!
