Aaron Irion is an Institute Associate at the Illiberalism Studies Program. His work focuses on the crisis of liberalism, treating it as a catalyst for new political imaginaries. He is keenly interested in post-liberalism and in the relative absence of the left in our present conjuncture. His work, therefore, also focuses on a critical engagement with (and reevaluation of) certain tendencies that emerged on the left in the second half of the twentieth century. His work takes Marxism, post-Marxism, post-structuralism, and political economy seriously and as starting points.
