Theresa Hale is Program Manager for IMES's National Resource Center/NRC Outreach. Theresa is an experienced program manager with a background in US Department of State exchange programs and other educational programs. Most recently, she was a Program Officer for the International Visitor Leadership Program at American Councils for International Education, a professional exchange program for emerging foreign leaders from diverse industries and countries. She also worked as a Program Assistant for the American English E-Teacher Program, a virtual professional development and training program for English teachers around the globe. Her other experience includes working at the University of Maryland’s Career Center as an instructor and career and internship advisor for international students. She also spent two years as an AmeriCorps Vista volunteer managing an adult education tutoring program for refugees at a community center in the Rogers Park neighborhood in Chicago.

Theresa's international experience includes working and studying abroad in Senegal, France, and Cuba. She received a Master of Arts in International Education Policy from the University of Maryland and Bachelors of Arts in both Psychology and French Language and Literature from Kalamazoo College. Outside of work, she is passionate about running, cooking and trying new cuisines, and playing with her cat.
