Garnet: Global Affairs and Religion Network, image of a red gem

Please join us for this fun and collegial event with Dr. Irene Oh, Dr. Rollie Lal, and Dr. Xiaofei Kang. We will be discussing different and frightful perspectives on the afterlife in different religions and cultures around the world through the lens of popular fiction, film, and folklore. Please join us for analysis and free candy!

This event is co-sponsored by Security Policy Studies (SPS).

The GARNET is a collegial conversation across the fields of religion and global affairs. The network brings together faculty from the Elliott School of International Affairs and Religion Department each month to discuss a topic that weaves aspects of both fields. GARNET also brings together select MA students monthly to discuss aspects of Security and Religion.

The GARNET is supported by the George Washington University Seminar series to promote discussion across disciplinary boundaries.
