Omar García-Ponce is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and International Affairs. He received his Ph.D. in political science from NYU and was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Center for Global Development. His research focuses on the causes and consequences of different forms of criminal and political violence prevalent in poor and middle-income countries. His regional expertise is in Latin America.
