Prof. Matthew Salvetti is a senior intelligence executive with more than 29 years of experience in the US government. He is currently the acting National Intelligence Officer for Europe on the National Intelligence Council in the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. He previously served as both editor and briefer of the President’s Daily Brief, intelligence analyst and manager in the CIA, and political officer in the State Department. He has served on five occasions as OSCE election observer in the Western Balkans. He received an M.A at GW’s Elliott School of International Affairs and a B.A. in International Relations at the College of William and Mary.
