Career Café featuring Jack Beckman, MA-SPS '23 who is currently a Defense Trade Advisor at the British Embassy!

In his role as the Defense Trade Advisor, Beckman is focused on the US Congress and the trade aspects of defense legislation. They advise British Defense Staff on US procurement policy, support UK objectives under the National Technology and Industrial Base and support wider Defense Trade activities.

Jack Beckman is currently the Defence Trade Advisor at the British Embassy in Washington, DC. As part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD), Jack's primary role is to help UK SMEs break into the US market and navigate the US DoD acquisition system. His portfolio includes work with the Defence MOU Attache Group (DMAG), Defence Industrial Base Policy, and Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). His previous work includes American Enterprise Institute and in the House of Representatives.
