Ainara is the study abroad and international internship advisor for the Office of Graduate Student Services (GSS) at the Elliott School of International Affairs. She is passionate about increasing international experiences and educational opportunities for students of marginalized backgrounds. As a first-generation college graduate, she believes that all students should have access to the life-changing experience that is studying abroad and connecting with others across cultural differences. Before coming to GW, Ainara worked at American University as a Student Academic Services Coordinator, and as a high school college counselor at the American College of Greece in Athens, Greece. During her time abroad, she had the opportunity to travel across Europe and the MENA region, and her all-time favorite destinations are Morocco, Greece, and Budapest! Ainara is also currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Education at GSEHD.
