Mr. Gonzalez is a results-focused international business leader. He is the co- founder of ASELA USA, the Association of Entrepreneurs from Latin America – USA chapter, which boasts 130,000 members within the region. He is also concept developer of the Brazil Preclearance for e-commerce program “Compra Fora” and LATAM advisor for Ai-Latam.com and Cybertech Conferences. His previous positions include trade commissioner and chief of economic development and international trade for Miami-Dade County; chief operating officer of the City of Miami International Trade Board; vice chair of the Global Initiatives Committee for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce; and board member of the Hemispheric Congress of Latin American Chambers of Commerce.

Mr. Gonzalez holds a bachelor's degree in International Affairs from GW's Elliott School of International Affairs and a master's in International Business Management from the University Charles III in Madrid. He was awarded the Order of the Southern Cross from the government of Brazil, and The Silver Beaver from the Boy Scouts of America for community service and dedication over his many years of service, among numerous other recognitions.
