The 2026 edition of the GW Institute for Korean Studies (GWIKS) Fiscal Policy Forum (FPF) Policy and Research Paper Series, Charting a Sustainable Fiscal Future: U.S. and Korean Insights, is now available. The series analyzes the United States and South Korea's shared challenges and developments related to fiscal policy, providing relevant insights for policymakers, academics, and the business community.
This year's series is edited by Hae Kyung Ann and Kyle Renner and it includes papers examining:
- "U.S. AI Strategies and the Fiscal Implications for the ROK-U.S. Alliance," by Kuyoun Chung;
- "Nuclear Geoeconomics: A Trilateral Action Plan for South Korea, Japan, and the US,"; by Henry Haggard and Gabriel Collins;
- "AI Exposure and the Future of Work: Tasks, Skill Demand, and Education," by Michael Horrigan and Erik Vasilauskas; and
