Merna Zaki

Merna Zaki is the Associate Director of Development at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University, where she supports donor engagement and partnership building in furtherance of the school’s global mission.

Previously, Merna served as Associate Director of Development on the Leadership Annual Giving team at American University, contributing to fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, and senior leadership engagement. Her background also includes nonprofit fundraising experience with an NGO supporting orphaned children in Egypt, providing her with an international and mission focused perspective on development work.

Merna holds a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Arts in International Economics from American University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and International Relations from The American University in Cairo.
