The Elliott School’s Institute for European Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES) published the Fall 2023 issue of Demokratizatsiya: The Journal of Post-Soviet Democratization. Since 1992, the journal has provided scholarly insights into the forces that shape the region, from perestroika to Putin. Previous articles have covered subjects as diverse as blogging in Runet, the Donbass War, and the portrayal of female heroes in Kyrgyz nation-building. The Fall 2023 edition features articles on:
