Unaffiliated Study Abroad Programs

The programs listed below are not affiliated with GW.

In addition to the Elliott School and GW offerings, graduate students can research and identify other study abroad options. Students may be eligible to transfer a maximum of 6 credits into Elliott School MA programs.

Elliott School students should consult program directors or faculty major field advisors to determine how the courses fit into the Plan of Study and review the guidelines on Transfer Credit from Abroad.

Any GW student who travels abroad for academic purposes is subject to the GW International Travel Approval Policy (ITAP). Students must have travel approved and register their travel plans with the University. GW provides insurance for medical and emergency evacuation, repatriation, and other travel assistance services. To review the ITAP process, please visit webpage for the GW International Travel Approval Policy.

Students do not receive GW merit aid or fellowships for programs that are not affiliated with GW.

The following are examples of unaffiliated programs that past Elliott School graduate students have attended:

Enrolled students also receive a listserv providing announcements on new study abroad courses and events.

If you would like to suggest a program to be added to this list, please email Elliott School International and Academic Initiatives.
