Gaiv Tata has been working in international development for more than 35 years with a focus on private and financial sector development as well as aid architecture/international development finance. During 25+ years at the World Bank, he served in various positions including as: Director for Private Sector Development and Finance for Sub-Saharan Africa, founding Director of the Global Practice for Financial Inclusion and Infrastructure; and Manager, Resource Mobilization for the World Bank’s concessional finance window (IDA). Over the past ten years, he has been an expert consultant advising or assessing several multilateral institutions including: Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, European Bank For Reconstruction and Development, European Commission, Inter-American Development Bank Group, Islamic Development Bank and the World Bank Group. He has an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
