Elizabeth Lusk (she/her) is the Senior Academic Advisor with Graduate Student Services (GSS) at the Elliott School of International Affairs and joined the team in July 2017. In addition to advising students on their academic plans and organizing Graduate Student Orientation, she strives to utilize a “whole-person” approach which considers the student’s academic goals alongside the many parts that make up each individual. Elizabeth aims to utilize this approach in an effort to connect each student with resources and strategies that are best suited to their unique situation. She continues to expand her toolbox and recently completed a Graduate Certificate in Counseling and Life Transitions from GW's own GSEHD where she specialized in Career Counseling. She is eager to explore the different opportunities available to students through GSS, Elliott, and GW whether that be international education or internships, connections to Career Coaches for in-depth professional development, or discussing different wellness tools to support a well-rounded graduate experience!

She received her B.A. in Communications from Christopher Newport University (CNU) and earned a Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Higher Education Leadership from Old Dominion University (ODU) where she specialized in student affairs. Her time in college and graduate school fortified her interests in student development and wellness, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and international education.

Elizabeth advises graduate students with last names M-Z.
