Career Café: Save the Children
Jody joined Save the Children in 2022 and is the Head of Humanitarian Response, with over 20 years experience working in the non-profit sector in D.C. and abroad.
Prior to joining Save the Children, Jody worked with other prominent organizations in the NGO sector, including American Red Cross, World Wildlife Fund, International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Relief International (RI). Starting in 2012, Jody held several country office roles with IRC in, Liberia, South Sudan and Turkey/Syria. She then transitioned to RI, where she supported the organization's global growth from 100 - 200 million, serving as the Head of Business Development and most recently as their Chief Program Officer. Jody holds a B.A. in Business Administration from The George Washington University and a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Kent, Brussels School of International Studies.
Jody is joined by Monica Geary, Advisor for Strategy & Operations with the Department of Humanitarian Response. Monica graduated from ESIA in 2019 and has been with Save the Children since, in various roles, primarily in humanitarian operations.
