Adam Harrison is an adjunct professor at The Elliott School of International Affairs, where he teaches a hands-on course on national security policymaking, with an emphasis on the role of a staff officer in a US government agency.

Mr. Harrison has nearly 20 years of experience in national security roles across the US government. He currently serves as Branch Chief at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), where he oversees a team of economic analysts. He has had a variety of roles in the US Intelligence Community (IC), with experience in investment security, critical infrastructure, collection policy, and crisis management. Prior to his time at ODNI, He also held positions at the Department of Defense and Federal Emergency Management Agency.

Mr. Harrison has extensive experience working across the interagency to develop national-level policy. He regularly briefs senior officials and coordinates IC participation in multi-national forums.

He holds an MA in International Affairs from the George Washington University, and a BA in History and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame. He lives in Virginia with his wife and two very rambunctious children.
