Carla Maenza has completed a Ph.D. on Legal Philosophy and Gender with a European Doctoral mention at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain, where she earned a Masters in Legal Science in 2013. Her main fields of research are gender theory, gendered power dynamics, equality policies, and Gender Mainstreaming, with a special interest in the application of feminist theory in public policy. She earned her law degree at Universidad de Buenos Aires (University of Buenos Aires) in Argentina. She is has also practiced law, worked for the City of Buenos Aires Administration in community involvement, and lectured in Constitutional Law and Legal Philosophy both in Spain and Argentina.
