- Professor Chris Cahill, winner of the 2024 Oscar and Shoshana Trachtenberg Prize for Scholarship (Research).

- Gold Anniversary Faculty Award winner, Professor Alison Brooks, in honor of 50+ year of continuous full-time service.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Professor Alexa Alice Joubin delivered a keynote lecture on Cinematic Representations of East Asian American Women at the Tucker-Boatwright Festival in Richmond.
Research Professor Susan Aaronson authored a new paper for the Centre for International Governance and Innovation: "Data Disquiet: Concerns about the Governance of Data for Generative AI."
Elliott School Senior Samyudha Rajesh published her debut book: An Inside Job: AGuide to Self-Discovery in an Ever-Changing World.
Assistant Professor Aaron Bateman authored, "Why Russia Might Put a Nuclear Weapon in Space," for Foreign Affairs and won the Journal of Strategic Studies 2024 Amos Perlmutter Prize for his paper, "Information Security in the Space Age: Britain’s Skynet Satellite Communications Program and the Evolution of Modern Command and Control Network."
The Humanitarian Action Initiative hosted a conference on the Power and Politics of Localization.
The Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies held a discussion on, The European Elections 2024: How Far Right?
The Institute for International Science and Technology Policy and Space Policy Institute convened a panel on New Perspectives on China’s Approach to Emerging Technologies.
