Olga A. Timoshenko is an Assistant Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the George Washington University. Dr. Timoshenko received her Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University. She also holds an M.Phil. and M.A. in Economics from the same institution and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Western Ontario in Canada.

Dr. Timoshenko's research focuses on exploring exporters' behavior in foreign markets. In particular she investigates the role of learning on the demand side in explaining exporters' decisions to begin or discontinue selling products in foreign destinations (product switching), and in explaining export hysteresis. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in international economics.
