Planning Events

The Elliott School hosts prominent political leaders, international experts, and scholars who discuss pressing issues of the day. If you are affiliated with the Elliott School and approved to schedule events, please first read through the Public Affairs Event Training Guide and then utilize the following resources to ensure that your event runs as smoothly as possible:

Submit your event to our online event calendar. Public events submitted by Thursday to our calendar also are featured in our weekly newsletter that's distributed on Sundays/Mondays.

Reserve Equipment

Gooseneck mics, sign holders and a livestream kit are available for reservation by approved Public Affairs trainees through this online form. The form must be submitted at least two business days in advance of the requested rental date.

Invitations to events or any other email marketing that is targeted to the public must follow the style guide created and implemented by GW's Division of External Relations.

During Your Event

If you run into technical difficulties in an academic classroom, the Lindner Family Commons, or the Conference Room 505, please contact Academic Technologies at 202-994-0485. Please submit the Public Affairs complaint form if you find Lindner Family Commons or Room 505 not in the default set-up as indicated in the Public Affairs training guide.
