Dr. Erich Vogt teaches Current Environmental Topics, Climate Change Policy, and International Environmental Policy at both UofT’s School of the Environment and the Faculty of Physical and Environmental Science Faculty. He also teaches Climate Change and Sustainable Development at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington, D.C. He also consults for multilateral and bilateral development organizations and climate change financing mechanisms, like the Green Climate Fund.
Dr. Vogt served as IUCN’s senior multilateral policy advisor, team leader at the World Bank’s External Relations and United Nations Department, and head of the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation’s United Nations’ liaison office in Geneva/Switzerland.
He holds a Dr. rer. pol. degree (magna cum laude) and M.A. in Political Economy from the Free University of Berlin and Indiana University, respectively.
