Brent M. Eastwood, PhD, is a Professorial Lecturer at the Elliott School. He teaches graduate seminars in Russia and International Security and Transnational Security for the Security Policy Studies MA Program. Brent is a Foreign Policy Analyst for Alion Science and Technology and a writer for the Jamestown Foundation.

Brent has completed a legislative fellowship in the U.S. Senate where he advised a Senator on Armed Services and Foreign Relations issues including conducting policy reviews on Russia, China, and Iran.

He was formerly Founder and CEO of GovBrain. GovBrain was a technology company in Washington, DC that automatically predicted world events using machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Previously he was a foreign policy analyst at The Langley Intelligence Group Network, a digital geopolitical risk and private intelligence firm in the nation's capital. Brent is also a former U.S. Army Infantry Officer.
