Ashish Kumbhat is a Vice President in Global Investment Banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Most recently, Ashish was a Member of the Secretariat for the Financial Stability Board (FSB) in Switzerland responsible for advancing various G-20 policy recommendations and developing assessments of vulnerabilities in the financial system.
Prior to his appointment at the FSB, Ashish was on the senior staff of the Monetary Affairs Division at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. Ashish regularly advised the Federal Open Markets Committee (FOMC) on a broad range of topics at the intersection of financial markets and monetary policy. Ashish also actively participated in various international policy deliberations at the BIS and G-20. Ashish began his career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York focused on regulatory policy for large complex financial institutions.
Ashish has published on topics related to monetary policy implementation and was named by Forbes Magazine as one of 30 under 30. Ashish completed his undergraduate degree at the George Washington University.
