To earn your Master of International Studies (MIS) you must successfully complete our 28 credit program which includes 9 credits in core courses, 12 credits in a major field, 3 credits of electives, and a 4 credit Capstone course.

Students selecting this major field must:

• Take ECON 6283 – AND – ECON 6284 to satisfy the core requirement for economics.
• Demonstrate proficiency in introductory statistics. This statistics requirement can be met by having taken a satisfactory undergraduate course, an equivalent course at USDA or STAT 1051, 1053, 1111 or IAFF 6501 (212) at GW.
• Complete 6 or 12 required credits for the major field from the Economics courses listed below. The remaining 6 credits can be from other departments.
